KOH YAM

On the journey to challenge ourselves in the field of designing projects in the F&B industry, we – Ksoul Studio certainly cannot help but mention the project "Koh Yam Thai Restaurant" - first branch in Ho Chi Minh City. Koh Yam Thai Kitchen is the successor and completion of the Koh Samui brand with the model of a close and friendly Thai kitchen with nearly 100 extremely diverse and rich Thai dishes and desserts. Located on Ho Tung Mau street - where not only the busiest shops are concentrated in the center but also the entertainment center of the majority of young Saigonese, Koh Yam has brought a new breeze, adding more variety of cuisine here.

With prominent brand identity colors of pink and blue, we applied to all different materials to bring diversity and creativity to the overall store space. It is not difficult to realize that the perfect spirit of this design is to create closeness and comfort for customers when coming to dine; hence, the tables and chairs are selected from the most optimal options for different groups of guests, but still equally aesthetic and youthful.Coordinating the system of painted walls with old tiles taken advantage of the status quo, Ksoul used translucent pink and blue-green tiles to tile some small walls, in order to create an extra highlight of Thai street colors and modernity. When it comes to materials and processing methods, we cannot ignore the rust effect on iron – which seemed strange, turned out to be close and was easily integrated into this overall space. From the brand logo, the wave sign, the door handle to the small details in the decoration, all are produced in detail, and carefully with the aim of providing the most realistic rust effect possible, which become part of the story of the Koh Yam Thai Restaurant brand. And last but not least, is the storefront interface - the position that customers can easily recognize right from the moment they pass through Ho Tung Mau street. Two round windows on the first floor balcony, and a large folding window system on the ground floor, Ksoul has drawn a funny smiley face that adheres to the identity and spirit of the brand, where the Thai kitchen is filled with delicious dishes that creates joy, laughter, and gives customers interesting experiences both in the cuisine but also in the service attitude, and the space here.
